The Nordic construction industry is pushing forward. While rising costs and shifting market conditions continue to put pressure on the sector, companies across the region are staying focused on progress. And one area where that progress is clearly visible is digitalization.
Our newly released Digimeter 2025 report shows that nearly 70% of professionals in Norway, Sweden, and Finland plan to maintain or increase their investment in digital tools over the next year. Only 3% say they expect to cut back.
“The fact that so many companies are prioritizing digitalization, even under financial pressure, shows just how critical efficiency, control, and simplification have become,” says Gustav Line, CEO of SmartCraft.
A Snapshot of the Industry’s Digital Maturity
This year’s Digimeter report is our most comprehensive yet, with insights from 846 professionals across the Nordic construction and crafts sector. It highlights not only where companies are investing, but why:
- Faster invoicing and stronger cash flow
- Improved project tracking and communication
- Streamlined documentation and compliance
And the message is clear: digital tools help companies work smarter, respond faster, and deliver better service, especially when resources are tight.
Why Digimeter Matters
We created Digimeter to give the industry something it’s been missing: a clear, data-driven picture of how digitalization is progressing and where the gaps are. It’s a tool for reflection, for benchmarking, and for action.
“This is the fourth time we are conducting the Digimeter survey in the Nordics and it is great to get confirmation from the industry that digitalization can increase their productivity. These companies are challenged by one of the deepest downturns for decades and need to think differently about how they should run their business. Our solutions are good tools to make sure they have good control of their employees, purchasing of materials and documents required in their projects”, says Line.
